At Banter Ice Cream, our mission is to provide the best ice cream experience in the Fraser Valley. Our Scoopers play a significant role in that experience! A successful scooper provides excellent customer service, maintains strong product knowledge, helps keep the shop clean and organized, and keeps the good vibes rolling. More than anything, scoopers help make people’s day better.

Position Details

  • Position type: Part-time, full-time, and seasonal

  • Wage: $17.85/hour + tips

  • Hours of operation: 12 PM – 10 PM

  • Shifts scheduled between: 11 AM – 11 PM (seasonal variations apply)

  • Availability required: Some evenings & weekends


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing warm, welcoming, thoughtful customer service

  • Hosting customers — offering samples, answering questions, and helping guests choose flavours

  • Scooping ice cream and building sundaes & specialty treats

  • Baking and rolling fresh waffle cones

  • Learning & confidently sharing product and allergen knowledge

  • Operating our Point of Sales (Square) and handling transactions

  • Stocking supplies and maintaining a tidy, organized workspace

  • Supporting opening and closing duties

  • Communicating clearly and working collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team

  • Taking initiative to keep the shop flowing smoothly and set the next shift up for success


What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, friendly, team-first attitude

  • Someone who is helpful, reliable, and willing to learn

  • Comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment

  • Strong communication and a desire to create great experiences

  • Availability for some evenings and weekends

  • Customer service experience is a plus (but not required)
